Google Map Guestbook

GMapbook

GMapbook – A Guestbook base on Google Map API

HERE IS A DEMO, YOU CAN TRY IT THERE.

AND YOU CAN ALSO DOWNLOAD ALL THE FILES THERE TO BUILD YOUR OWN GMAPBOOK!

GMapbook now is single-user guestbook based on Google Map API. It can automatically locate your guests, and let them leave a message at that point. The messages will be display on the Google Map. You can nagivate to previous/next message/page by simply click the buttons. After login, you can reply or delete a message. In order to prevent spamming, an image with verification code is required to leave a message (Therefore, we need GD Graphic Library for PHP). It already have very good compatibility. I have test it on Firefox 1.5.x and 2.0.x, and IE 5.5 and IE 6.0, all of them work fine with it. Currently, I cannot provide multilingual support for it, but you will find it easy to achieve that by modifying the file “language.js”. If you create a language file, I wish you can send me a copy (The file should be in UTF-8 format). If you find a BUG, please report here!

I wish to develop a multisuer-system and more services, but I don’t have enough money to buy a domain name and a host to run the service (I am merely a poor student in China). If you are interested in this project, why not make a donation? For those donors, what I can provide is to put a permanet mark on the multisuer-system to show your kindness. You can make a donation via PAYPAL, you will see it when you download.

I hope you enjoy it!

Requirement
1. A server with PHP and MySQL;
